The saw comes to you, not the other way around
A track-mounted saw needs a run of wall or floor to set a rail on. A ring saw, a chainsaw built for concrete and masonry, a hydraulic saw, or a gas or electric hand saw does not. We carry all five, and we reach for one of them when there is tight access or in situations where traditional concrete cutting equipment does not reach: a corner too tight for a rail, a crawlspace, a spot behind equipment that is not moving for the afternoon.
Why it is not our first choice
Hand sawing requires more work from our technicians, so it is only used when the job genuinely calls for it. A track saw or a wire rig cuts straighter and faster, with less strain on the person running it. When the access is there, we use it. When it is not, hand sawing is how the cut still gets made.

Five saws, one truck
Which one comes off the truck depends on the space, not on a preference.
A ring saw, a chainsaw, a hydraulic saw, and a gas or electric hand saw all ride out on the same truck as the track rig. A mechanical room with a foot of clearance on every side gets a different saw than a crawlspace, and a crawlspace gets a different one again from a trench that is already crowded with conduit and pipe.
If your access is tight enough that you are not sure a contractor can even get a blade in, that is the call to make. We look at the space before we quote the method.
